Can Fertility Coaching help you?
There are millions of people each year who struggle with infertility and miscarriage, so why is it that there are still unsupportive medical aid schemes, unsympathetic employers and insensitive friends? With so many of us battling the same disease, why do we feel so alone?
With the advancements in medical technology, we are given the gift of hope, but at a price – we are required to hand over our bodies without question, to be subjected to invasive tests and procedures and cocktails of drugs. We ask when we should make love, and what positions are most effective. We lose sight of ourselves and become single-minded, obsessed even, in our quest to fulfill our heart’s desire of having a child, all the while experiencing a decided lack of control over the outcome, which leads us to feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious and depressed.
With our focus on the physical aspect that requires our attention, we forget to nurture ourselves and our relationships. We see our bodies as betrayers, or unable to provide us with what we so badly want, and act as though the mind and body are separate entities. We search for reasons, and wonder if we are somehow to blame – was it because I slept on my stomach, or because I didn’t go to church enough, or because I’m not good enough somehow.
With Fertility Coaching, we work on the aspects of the journey that are relevant to you. This may be to provide you with ways to manage your stress levels*, to identify your resources, manage and nurture your important relationships or to find your voice.
You can equip yourself to have the best chance of conception and to walk the journey of assisted reproduction in the healthiest possible way, with the people you love.
